Money OS
A short book for firms that are tired of being the glue
The product is Ficary.
1. The stack is the partner
Stated desire: better practice management. Hidden desire: stop being the glue.
Email lives in one tool. Jobs in another. WIP in a third. The date the bank named lives in a spreadsheet a controller rebuilds at night.
You do not need another module. You need one money truth the practice can show a lender without opening a vendor ticket.
2. Leftover physics
A leftover is unmatched mail, an import skip, unbilled time past SLA, unapplied cash. It is not a dashboard tile.
If the leftover is not on the same client record as the invoice, the system has failed.
Ficary’s daily surface is the leftover list. Posted work stays posted. You only see what still needs a human.
3. As-of the bank named
Month-end buckets lie when later activity leaks in. A controller names a date. WIP and AR must answer that date.
That query is the packet. A PDF is a format of the same cents. A BI project is a second program.
If the export does not tie, it does not send.
4. The fee is the plan
Value-based firms still get hours times a standard rate as the budget, then write time up or down at the bill.
The agreed fee is the plan. Hours are cost-to-serve. After a max fee, further unbilled time stays visible and worth zero.
Realization is live on the engagement. It is not a surprise after the plug.
5. The letter gates money
A letter that needs proper syntax and a rewrite after the fact is not a product. The Project is the source.
Unsigned work stays dark. Sign is not activate. A named person turns the job on, with a reason if they override.
That is how money stays legal to start.
6. How to walk a demo
Ask for a leftover list on a live client, not a sample company.
Name a date that is not month-end. Ask for WIP and AR on that date.
Put a fee cap on a job. Enter more time. The hours should remain. The value should be zero.
Require a signed letter. Try to activate. It should hold.
If any of those need a specialist or a second tenant, you are still buying a stack.
Ficary is the product you run. This book is the brief you hand a partner. Named comparisons live on ficary.com/compare. We do not claim we replaced anyone until live mail, the docs portal, and a named signing vendor exist.
